'23' by Helen Wheeler
One of 23 individual hand-blown glass objects from Helen Wheeler's '23', currently on display at The Portico Library as part of the October 2015 exhibition Build a Wor(l)d with 'ing'.
Each two-chambered piece, although created through the same method, is unique, due to the ever-fluctuating conditions under which it is formed. The title '23' refers to the number of pairs of chromosomes in each human being.
